Russian govt company invites participation from India for global contests

The Russian Government’s Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, technical consultants and main equipment suppliers for the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu, invites Indians for participation in its international photo award competitions that will award first prize winner a fully paid trip to Russia. 

“ASE International Photo Awards” is organized by ASE, an engineering division of Rosatom. Apart from India, the ASE International Photo Awards is open for aspirants from Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt, China, the Republic of Belarus and Hungary. ASE currently implements its projects in these countries also.

Andrey Lebedev, Vice-President for the South Asia Projects of ASE, said, "India is a land of beauty. It has breathtaking views of the Himalayas, Western Ghats, the endless seas, magnificent rivers, Kerala and Enchanting Tamil Nadu known for its culture, language and historic temples. I am sure the photographers of the country will be able to showcase the uniqueness of their land through the photos."

The participants can compete in 4 categories:

1. Energy of the future - photos showing the changes of life in NPP construction regions, neighborly relations of the nature and nuclear power.
2. People - photos focusing on the man, its fate and its overcoming, efforts to change life for the best.
3. Cities - social photos that reflect challenges facing the contemporary world and simultaneously its beauty and
4. Wildlife - photos that allow us to see and feel the diversity of the world in its beauty that reflect feelings and emotions roused by the environment.
It is to be noted that photos created from January 1, 2018 only are allowed to participate in the competition and the winners will be nominated by the competent international jury. The best works will be exhibited at the photo exhibition.
